Gunmen have killed two internally displaced persons in Barki Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was gathered that the victims, who were earlier displaced in previous attacks in Ratis village of the LGA, had returned to the community to rebuild their destroyed homes when they were attacked by the gunmen.
National President of Berom Youths Moulders Association, Dalyop Mwantiri, confirmed the killings to The PUNCH in Jos on Thursday.
According to him, three other persons were also injured during the attack
The youths leader said, “Another tragic incident has been witnessed in Rantis village of Gashish District, Barkin Ladi LGA in Plateau State, where Internally Displaced Persons of Rantis were attacked about 3:30 pm of April 6, 2022. As a result, two persons have been confirmed dead while three others sustained fatal injuries.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ubah Ogaba, was unreachable when contacted for confirmation.
