Gunmen Abduct Two Female Students of Plateau Polytechnic

Two female students of the Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi Campus, have been kidnapped by some gunmen.

It was gathered that the students were abducted and whisked to an unknown destination during an invasion of a hostel known as ‘Plateau Embassy’ on Thursday.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the state Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ubah, said the students were actually kidnapped in Ban Village and one suspect has been arrested.

He disclosed that the identities of the kidnapped students have been known. He revealed the names of the abducted students as Bencit and Longfei.

Ubah added that troops of Operation Safe Haven have been informed and they have mobilized their men to the general area.

He said: ” It happened in Ban Village heipang.

“The Police and STF Immediately rushed to the scene and one suspect has been arrested. Efforts are on to rescue the victims.”
