God’s Personal Name Revealed

Pst Olumide Akinrinlola

“And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. (Exodus 3:13-14).

God commanded Moses to tell the people of Israel that I AM had sent him to them. So, we can conclude that God has a personal name and the name is: I AM THAT I AM according what God Himself told Moses in Exodus 3:13-14.

So what is the meaning of I AM THAT I AM?

– It means God is self existent.
– He is an uncreated Creator.
– Every other things were created but He created Himself.
– He has no deficiency.
– He is independent.
– He is answerable to no one.
– He’s all sufficient.
– All power belong to Him.
– He is ubiquitous.
– He is omnipresent.
– He is omniscience.
– He is omnipotent.
– He is the beginning and the end.
– The First and the Last.
– He is the Almighty.

Let’s Tremble before Him, and repent from our evil ways.

Please repent now! I just told you.

Say : Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
