G_Afrik Film Company Launches Scholarship Programme for Aspiring Filmmakers

G_Afrik Film Company Limited, a leading entity in professional filmmaking and costume rental based in Magodo, Lagos, has announced an exciting scholarship programme for an intensive filmmaking course set to begin in 2026. This initiative aims to equip aspiring filmmakers with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dynamic world of cinema.

The announcement was made by CEO Ayilola Oluwagbenga Emmanuel in a statement sent to Starnews on Monday afternoon. He emphasised that the scholarship programme is part of G_Afrik’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, aimed at training and impacting knowledge to individuals interested in the art of filmmaking. “We encourage interested candidates to apply promptly, as this is a limited offer,” he stated.

The scholarship programme will cover a range of courses designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of filmmaking principles and techniques. Some of the courses available include 3D animation, visual effects, motion graphics, special effects, programming, cinematography, editing, and UI/UX design, along with 2D illustration. While basic knowledge in computer or software technology related to filmmaking is not mandatory, it will be considered an added advantage for applicants.

To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must hold an SSCE certificate and possess a personal computer, along with a willingness to learn and immerse themselves in the filmmaking process.
