Former APC national auditor George Moghalu joins Labour Party, eyes Senate seat

Barely a month after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief George Moghalu has officially joined the Labour Party (LP).

Moghalu is a former national auditor of the ruling APC and the immediate past Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority.

According to reports, he made the switch ahead of the upcoming by-election for the Anambra South Senatorial district, a seat previously occupied by the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

Moghalu was welcomed into the LP by the ward executives in Uruagu, Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area on Tuesday, October 1.

During the event, he completed the LP membership form and was presented with a membership card, marking his formal entry into the party as he prepares to contest for the senatorial seat.
