Family Kidnapped in Plateau Community Attack

A couple and their child were reportedly kidnapped when unidentified armed individuals attacked Dogon Ruwa, a community in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, in the early hours of Monday, February 10.

According to Afripost, Local sources say the incident occurred as residents were preparing for their daily activities. One person was injured during the attack and has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A community youth leader, Shapi’i Sambo, described the events, stating that the attackers arrived unexpectedly and caused panic among residents.

“They came early in the morning when people were going about their normal activities. Many fled in fear, and unfortunately, a couple and their child were taken away. Some injured victims are receiving medical care,” he said.

The incident has raised security concerns in the area, with residents calling for increased protection and intervention from authorities.
