Ex VP Namadi Sambo Denies Joining APC

Former Vice President Namadi Sambo has denied claims that he has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The denial followed a news story spreading on social media and blogs, suggesting that he had switched sides politically.

The story gained attention after a picture showing Sambo with the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, went viral.

However, Sambo’s team explained that the image is not new.

According to them, the photo was taken during a condolence visit years ago when the governor visited Sambo after the death of his brother.

Sambo’s media aide stated that the former Vice President remains with the PDP and has not discussed any plans to join the APC.

He also noted that Sambo’s appearance at a hospital commissioning in Kaduna should not be taken as a political move.

The hospital project, a 300-bed facility, was started while Sambo was in office and is only now being completed.

The statement made it clear that the viral story was meant to cause confusion and mislead the public.

It asked Nigerians and the media to ignore the rumour and focus on facts.
