EPL: Popular Emir Set to Take Over as Man Utd Owner

 

Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has reportedly won the Manchester United takeover race.

According to The Sun UK, Hamad Al Thani has made a significant breakthrough in talks with the Glazers over a sale of the Premier League club.

Hamad Al Thani now looks set to beat British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe to a £6billion takeover at Old Trafford.

It is said that there is confidence at Man United that Hamad Al Thani will seal a deal by November.

Recall that the takeover of Manchester United has dragged on for many months.

Hamad Al Thani and Ratcliffe are the two frontrunners to buy the Red Devils.

Hamad Al Thani had tabled a fifth offer of around £6billion on June 7.
