Emir Of Ningi is dead

The revered monarch, His Royal Highness Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya, Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State, has passed on.

He died in the early hours of Sunday in Kano, where he was receiving medical attention for age-related health issues.

The late Emir will be laid to rest on Sunday evening at 4pm, following a funeral prayer at the Emir’s Palace in Ningi.

The announcement of his death was conveyed by the Secretary of the Emirate, Alhaji Usman Sule, Magayakin Ningi, in a brief statement written in Arabic and Hausa.

The statement reads, “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un (We belong to Allah and to Him we hope). God bless His Majesty the King of Ningi, Dr. Yunusa Muhammadu Dan Yaya (OON), passed away this morning, Sunday in Kano.

“The funeral will be held at four o’clock in the evening at the gate of the Palace. Announcement from the Secretary of the Palace, Alhaji Usman Sule, Magayakin Ningi.”
