Edo Government Closes Ambrose Alli University Satellite Campuses

The Edo State Government has ordered the immediate shutdown of all satellite campuses of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma.

The directive was issued on February 11, 2025, through a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor.

The government stated that all academic activities must now take place only at the university’s main campus in Ekpoma.

According to the statement, the decision aligns with the state’s efforts to improve the university and follows recent investments in the institution.

The university’s governing council and management have been instructed to enforce the order without delay.
