A Lagos high court has barred actress Doris Ogala and social media activist VeryDarkMan from making any reference to Chris Okafor and his ministry on social media platforms.
The lawsuit, numbered ID/14399GCMW/2026, was filed by Okafor through his lawyer, Ife Ajayi, and also listed Kelvin Emmanuel as the third defendant.
The presiding judge, M. A. Savage, ordered that the defendants and their associates must stop publishing or sharing any private materials linked to Okafor, including messages, images, videos, or recordings.
The judge further directed that they must not mention or display Okafor, his images, or those of his church, the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, on social media or any other platform, whether in spoken or written form.
The court also restrained them from releasing any materials that could amount to blackmail or extortion while the case is still pending.
In addition, the court approved substituted service, allowing court documents to be served through a newspaper publication.
The court said the order will remain in force until the main suit is fully determined.
The ruling followed an interview conducted by VeryDarkMan with a woman identified as Chi Okafor, who claimed to be the cleric’s biological daughter.
In the video, she alleged that she and two other women are Okafor’s children and accused him of abandoning them.
Okafor denied the allegations and threatened legal action over the claims.
The dispute between Ogala and Okafor began weeks ago after a video of the pastor’s engagement to Pearl Okafor surfaced online.
Ogala alleged that she had been in a romantic relationship with Okafor since 2017, claiming she ended her previous marriage at his request and accusing him of betraying her after years of intimacy and promises of marriage.
She later issued an ultimatum, demanding that Okafor either marry her or compensate her financially, eventually asking for N1 billion in damages for alleged breach of promise.
Despite the public outburst and threats, Okafor went ahead to marry Pearl Okafor in both white and traditional wedding ceremonies.
Okafor initially described Ogala’s reaction as “the devil’s anger” over his public marital happiness.
However, days later, he publicly knelt and apologised to Ogala, admitting the truth of her claims about their past relationship.
