Corps Members Set to Receive N77,000 Monthly Stipend

By Our Correspondent

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced plans to begin paying corps members a new monthly allowance of ₦77,000.

This was disclosed in a statement sighted by Starnews NG on NYSC’s Facebook page.

The assurance came from the scheme’s Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, during the unveiling of a 32-seater bus in Abuja.

The bus, donated by Capital Express Insurance Company, aims to ease transportation challenges faced by corps members and staff in the Federal Capital Territory.

The partnership between NYSC and the insurance company has previously resulted in similar benefits, with promises of further support in the coming year.

The NYSC leadership reiterated its commitment to the welfare of corps members and confirmed that arrangements for the new allowance are finalized.
