Coroner Urges Prosecution of Nurse Over Mohbad’s Death

The Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has recommended that auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe be prosecuted in connection with the death of music star Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Presiding magistrate C.A. Shotobi gave the recommendation on Friday, stating that the nurse acted negligently by administering an injection to the singer without a valid prescription from a licensed doctor.

Although the court dismissed any suspicion of murder or deliberate harm, it found that the nurse’s conduct was both unlawful and professionally unacceptable.

Relying on Section 29 of the Lagos State Coroner Law, the magistrate advised the state’s Director of Public Prosecution to take legal action against Ogedengbe for practicing without proper certification and for medical negligence.
