In a surprising turn of events, Ambassador Umar Damagum has been unanimously confirmed as the substantive National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The motion for his confirmation was moved by Hon. While moving the motion, Abineri stated, “I move the motion for the ratification of Ambassador Umar Damagum as the substantive National Chairman of the party. This is in accordance with Section 32 of the Constitution of the PDP as amended.”
