Committee moves to probe fire outbreak at governor’s office

The Katsina State government has established a committee to investigate a fire that broke out in a section of the Governor’s Office at the Muhammadu Buhari House on Monday.

In a statement released the same day, the government confirmed that the fire, which occurred in the early hours, caused damage to the Mini Chamber attached to the governor’s office.

Firefighters from both federal and state agencies quickly responded and managed to contain the blaze before it could spread further.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The newly formed committee has been tasked with identifying the source of the fire, assessing the extent of the damage, and pinpointing any lapses that may have contributed to the incident.

Additionally, the committee is expected to provide recommendations to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
