Businessman Robbed, Killed by Gunmen

On Monday, gunmen suspected to be armed robbers attacked and killed a businessman in his office opposite Ekeki Motor Park, Yenagoa.

The victim, identified simply as Cletus, was reportedly followed to his office in the early hours and repeatedly stabbed in the head, resulting in his death.

The assailants fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Cletus’s mobile phone, and a Highlander jeep parked opposite the office.

When a correspondent from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) visited the scene, neighbors were seen mourning the loss of Cletus. His body was discovered by his workers upon their arrival at work.

Cletus, in his late 40s, was known as a quiet businessman with multiple ventures in the metropolis.

ASP Musa Mohammed, the spokesperson for the Bayelsa State Police Command, confirmed that an investigation into the incident has commenced.
