Breaking: Jegede’s running mate loses his ward, hometown to APC in Ondo Poll

Hon. Ikengboju Gboluga, Member of the House of Representatives, representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency and the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo State Governorship election, has lost his ward and hometown to the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Saturday governorship election in the State.

Starnews Nigeria gathered that Gboluga lost the election in the three wards of Ilutitun, his home town, in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State based on the official announcement of unit results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

As collated by INEC returning officers from the various polling units of the town, Starnews Nigeria reports the total results of the three wards between the PDP AND the APC below:

APC RESULTS

Ward 1 1189.
Ward 2. 1003.
Ward 3. 1365.

Total. 3557.

PDP RESULTS

Ward 1. 894

Ward 2. 941

Ward 3. 1165

Total: 3000
