BREAKING: Governor Umo Eno Defects to APC, Cites Alignment with Tinubu’s Vision

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor made the declaration on Friday during a press conference in Uyo, revealing that the decision followed months of consultations with key stakeholders and constituents across the state.

Expressing gratitude to the PDP for the platform and support it provided, Eno explained that his move to the APC was driven by a desire to strengthen ties between Akwa Ibom and the federal government in order to fast-track development in the state.

He also commended President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, stating that the president’s style of governance greatly influenced his decision to join the ruling party.

“My commitment to the people of Akwa Ibom remains firm,” Eno said. “After listening to the voices of our people and reflecting on the best way forward, I’ve decided to join the APC and contribute more meaningfully to national unity and development.”
