Breaking: Dankwambo-led PDP appeal panel sets aside manipulated delegates’ list

  • Asks NWC to uphold authentic list duly produced from the ward Congresses

A three-man probe panel headed by a former governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo, over the conduct of the ad-hoc delegates congresses of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State has submitted his findings and recommendations to the National Working Committee of the PDP in Abuja on Wednesday.

Insider sources at the PDP National Secretariate at Wadata House in Abuja confirmed to Starnews NG that the Appeal Panel has urged the National Working Committee of the PDP to set aside the alleged doctored delegates list while it upheld the authentic delegates list duly produced from the ward Congresses in their recommendations ahead of the gubernatorial primary scheduled for July 22, 2020.

Starnews NG reports that seven days to the governorship primary of the PDP in Ondo state, seven aspirants, the elder’s council, and the Caretaker Committee of the PDP had raised an alarm over the illegal insertion of 101 fake names into the delegates’ list to replace legitimate names to favour a particular aspirant.

They prayed Dankawambo-led appeal panel of Adhoc delegates congresses to nullify the manipulated list and revert back to the true results of the ad-hoc delegates ward congresses of the party.

Details later.
