Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, a member of the House of Representatives representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, has passed away. He was a member of the Labour Party.
Adams’ wife confirmed that he had been ill before his death on Tuesday morning. He served as the chairman of the House Committee on Sports and represented his constituency diligently until his untimely passing.
The news was also confirmed by Adams’ close friend, Mr. Mike Obasi, via a WhatsApp message to our reporter.
Before his political career, Adams was the general manager of Kada City FC and Remo Stars.
This tragic news follows the recent death of another House member, Olaide Adewale Akinremi, who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
