Breaking: Akeredolu’s commissioner, with Odimayo, dump APC for ZLP in Akure

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and a serving Commissioner on the board of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Chief Ilawole Bisi, from Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, has joined the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

In quick succession, another chieftain of the party, Hon. Ggbadebo Odimayo, a former council boss of Irele Local Government in Ondo State, has resigned his membership of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) barely 30 minutes interval the ruling APC, lost Hon. Nicholas Akinbiola, who is also a former council boss of Irele Local Government to ZLP.

The duo of Ilawole and Odimayo declared for the ZLP on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State capital.

Odimayo’s defection, senior brother to Jimi Odimayo, the APC governorship aspirant in the just concluded APC primary in Ondo State, was believed to have been influenced into the ZLP by his former boss, Hon. Yemi Tadema Festus, a former Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly.

Ilawole resigned his appointment on Wednesday before joining the ZLP.
