Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has made significant changes to his cabinet, removing five commissioners from their positions. This development was announced in a statement on Tuesday by Mukhtar Gidado, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

According to the statement, the decision to let go of the commissioners was driven by the need to introduce fresh perspectives and energy into the state’s governance. The affected officials include those overseeing the ministries of Education, Internal Security and Home Affairs, Information and Communication, Agriculture, as well as Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation.

According to Politics Nigeria, Governor Mohammed extended his gratitude to the outgoing commissioners, recognizing their efforts and contributions to the progress of the state under his administration.

To fill the vacant positions, the governor has submitted a list of nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and approval. He has also proposed additional appointments to ensure the administration remains focused on its developmental goals.

The reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and impact of governance in Bauchi State.
