Aruna Quadri beats rival Omar assar to become African Champion again

Nigerian Table Tennis superstar, Aruna Quadri defeated his Egyptian nemesis for the third consecutive time in the Senior Table Tennis to reclaim the African title.

 

Quadri won the 2022 African Table Tennis Championship after an incredible final encounter against Omar Assar.Quadri defeated the Egyptian rival 4-3 in the keenly contested and entertaining final at the Senior Table Tennis competition in Algeria

In what was the third consecutive final between two of Africa’s best players in the men’s singles, it was Quadri who smiled home with the big prize.

 

He had to dig really deep against the defending champion, however, to reclaim the title he last won four years ago.
