The Publisher of Starnews NG, Pastor Olumide Akinrinlola, has congratulated five newly appointed aides of the Ondo State governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, describing their appointment and elevation as a well-deserved recognition of dedication, competence and loyalty.
The appointees, Dr Debo Akinbami, Mr Tope Liberty, Mr Ladi Okunniga, Mr Sam Bolala and Mrs Olubunmi Adekunle, were among those named in the governor’s latest list of political appointments, released by the Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Saturday.
Dr Akinbami was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Strategic Communication; Mr Liberty as Senior Special Assistant on Special Interest; Mr Okuniga as Senior Special Assistant on Print Media; Mr Bolala as Special Assistant on Environmental Health; and Mrs Adekunle as Senior Special Assistant on Event Management.
In his congratulatory message, Akinrinlola commended the governor for showing sound judgment in recognising individuals with proven ability and commitment to service.
He described Dr Akinbami as “an erstwhile aide of the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and a Mass Communication lecturer at the state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA).”
“He is a man I know for his expertise, ethical finesse and sound news judgment. He is an asset who will make a good aide,” Akinrinlola stated.
On Mr Tope Liberty, he said: “Liberty’s appointment is long overdue. He is one of the few voices who wears the shoe of a spokesman in defending the Aiyedatiwa administration across various social-media platforms, any day and any time. He deserves what he gets.”
Regarding Mr Ladi Okunniga, Akinrinlola remarked: “Okuniga’s appointment is a promotion, and he deserves it. He has been one of the most visible aides of the governor on social media, constantly projecting the administration’s policies and achievements with professionalism.”
He also praised Mr Sam Bolala, describing him as “a fine gentleman without half measures, a man who is very straightforward whenever in any struggle. Whenever he is interested in a project, he will be in, and he will pull out when he feels otherwise, without pretence. His straightforwardness has paved the way for him.”
On Mrs Olubunmi Adekunle, Akinrinlola said: “She is industrious and an event planner with a good working relationship with people. Adekunle brings energy, organisation and a collaborative spirit to every assignment. She is capable of managing complex tasks with efficiency and ensuring that projects achieve their desired results.
“Her inclusion in the new list is a reflection of the governor’s confidence in capable hands, and I am confident she will excel in her role. I can boldly say that she will use her new role to enhance the government’s outreach and effectiveness.”
Pastor Akinrinlola further extended congratulations to all individuals on the list: “Above all, I congratulate everyone who made the list, including those who were reappointed and those recycled for promotion.”
He expressed confidence that the appointees would justify the trust reposed in them and significantly contribute to the realisation of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s development agenda.
