APC UK chapter endorses Tinubu for second term, plans mega rally in London

Support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to gain momentum beyond Nigeria’s borders, as the United Kingdom chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed the president for a second term in office.

The endorsement was confirmed in a letter dated May 25 and jointly signed by the chapter’s chairman, Tunde Doherty, and secretary, Chief Momoh Y. Obaro.

The letter was officially presented to the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, during his recent visit to the UK.

In addition to the endorsement, the APC UK chapter announced plans to hold a mega rally in celebration of the president’s leadership and to mark the second anniversary of his first term in office.

The group extended an invitation to President Tinubu and members of the APC National Executive Committee to attend the event, details of which will be announced in due course.

“We write on behalf of the All Progressives Congress United Kingdom Chapter to express our resolute vote of confidence in your visionary leadership and to officially endorse Your Excellency for a second term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the letter stated.

The group noted that the endorsement was a unanimous decision taken during a general meeting in London after a thorough review of the Tinubu administration’s achievements.

They cited significant progress in infrastructure, economic stabilization, security reforms, and youth empowerment as key reasons for their support.

“Your bold reforms and sustained diplomatic engagement have repositioned Nigeria globally. The APC UK Chapter, representing thousands of patriotic Nigerians in the diaspora, stands firmly behind your Renewed Hope Agenda,” the letter added.

Obaro, a data scientist and former Kogi State governorship aspirant, also expressed full confidence in the APC’s National Executive Committee and reaffirmed the chapter’s support for Senator Basiru’s gubernatorial ambition in Osun State.

The planned rally, according to the group, will serve not only as a show of solidarity but also as a platform to galvanize support among Nigerians in the diaspora for the party’s broader vision ahead of the next electoral cycle.
