The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and timing of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting slated for Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Originally scheduled to hold at the party’s national secretariat on Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, the crucial meeting will now take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, commencing at 2:00 p.m.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, confirmed the adjustment in a statement issued on Wednesday, attributing the change to logistical considerations.
“This change of venue from the APC National Secretariat to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is due to logistical reasons,” Morka stated.
The upcoming NEC meeting is expected to address pressing internal matters, including the endorsement of a new party chairman following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje in June, reportedly due to health reasons.
With a leadership vacuum at the helm, sources within the party suggest that the current acting chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, may continue in the interim until a formal elective convention is convened.
Also on the agenda are updates from the party’s Constitution Review Committee and progress reports on its e-registration initiative, both of which are part of APC’s strategic preparations for the 2027 general elections.
