APC banks on vote buying and use of third party PVCs – ZLP

The full statement reads:

For the 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, the APC is banking on vote buying and the use of third party PVCs as the only option open to them as the people of Ondo state have rejected their party and candidate Rotimi Akeredolu.

Not sure of a safer modalities for the distribution of fund for the vote buying merchants, the governor is insisting that a merchant must procure a surety who must be a civil servant not less that level 14 before the fund for buying vote can be released.

The difficulty in the usage of third party PVC has put the party in dilemma but the ZLP is not leaving anything to chances and we are alerting the general public , INEC and security agencies to be very vigilant and ensure that any person who attempted to vote on Saturday with a PVC that belongs to another person should be arrested and prosecuted.

We must save our democracy from desperate politicians who will do anything to either subvert electoral processes or manipulate the will of the people.

Signed

Felix Olatunde
ZLP Publicity Secretary
