In a show of support for the newly appointed members of the Ondo State executive council, Hon. Bidemi Obayangban, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Forestry, extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry, Dr. Banji Ajaka, and other commissioner nominees today.
Their recent appointments by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa came alongside their successful screening and confirmation by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Last week, Starnews NG reports that Governor Aiyedatiwa nominated a new slate of commissioners, including four additional appointments made just days ago, in a move aimed at strengthening the state’s governance and development.
According to a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the nominations are in accordance with the authority granted to the governor under Section 192 (1&2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
Obayangban, affectionately known as O. C General, expressed his enthusiasm for the nominations, particularly highlighting the appointment of Omoyofunmi Segun Henry as a significant achievement for the youth in his federal constituency. “Omoyofunmi’s nomination is a testament to the vibrancy and potential of our youth, and I have no doubt that he will bring fresh perspectives to the council,” he remarked.
He also commended the reappointment of Dr. Banji Ajaka, recognising his past contributions to the state’s development and expressing confidence in his ability to continue making a positive impact in his new term. “Dr. Ajaka’s experience and dedication to service are invaluable assets to our state,” Obayangban added.
As the newly appointed commissioners prepare to take on their responsibilities, the support from leaders like Obayangban underscores the collaborative effort required to advance the state’s goals.
