Aiyedatiwa Promises Transparent, Inclusive Governance

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has pledged to lead a government that prioritises transparency, inclusivity, and accountability as the state moves forward.

Speaking at a prayer service marking the first working day of 2025 in Akure, he expressed gratitude for the progress made under the previous administration of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Aiyedatiwa highlighted the successful implementation of good governance policies that led to growth in various sectors.

He announced plans for a retreat for top civil servants and political leaders to ensure clear understanding and execution of government objectives.

The governor also praised the state’s public service for its smooth operation, with no industrial actions, and for their cooperative response during recent wage discussions.

Ondo State was one of the first to adopt a wage above the national minimum, with the current minimum wage standing at N73,000.

Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to paying salaries and pensions on time, along with addressing a significant backlog of gratuities for pensioners, The Nation reports.

He further noted the continuation of key infrastructure projects, particularly in urban and rural road development, emphasising the administration’s focus on maintaining ongoing initiatives.

The Lord will strengthen you to fulfill all your promises. The bible says I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.
