Ahmed Gulak’s death a national tragedy, says Eddy Olafeso

Chief Eddy Olafeso, the ex-Southwest Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday mourned Ahmed Gulak, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who was killed by gunmen in Owerri, Imo State Capital.

Starnews Nigeria reports that the former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Gulak, was shot dead last week by gunmen while returning to Abuja from Owerri, Imo State.

Olafeso who was the deputy national coordinator  when late Ahmed Gulak was the national coordinator of the Goodluck Support Group (GSG) in 2013-2015, described Gulak’s death as a national tragedy.

Speaking with Starnews Nigeria in a telephone interview on Tuesday afternoon, Olafeso said: “I was the deputy national coordinator  when he (late Hon. Ahmed Gulak was the former national coordinator of the Goodluck Support Group (GSG).”

“I worked with him during this period and I can say that he was a man of good breeding and a public service elite. His services to Nigeria will be greatly missed. Gulak’s death is a national tragedy. My heartfelt condolences to his family,” he added.
