Adekunle Gold, Simi welcome twins

Popular Nigerian music stars, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife, Simi, have welcomed twins.

The award-winning singer announced the development on Wednesday via his Snapchat story, confirming the expansion of their family.

“Asked God for another child and he blessed me double,” she wrote.

The couple, however, have yet to disclose the gender of the newborns. The announcement has since drawn warm wishes from fans, fellow celebrities and colleagues within the entertainment industry.

Speculation had heightened in December after Simi shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “From my baby, for my babies.” The clip showed her with a noticeable baby bump, fuelling anticipation that she was expecting.

The arrival of the twins comes weeks after Simi highlighted a scene from Adekunle Gold’s newly released music video, My Love Is the Same, which further stirred excitement among fans.

Adekunle Gold and Simi, who tied the knot in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, remain one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples. Both artistes were formerly signed to X3M Music before rising to mainstream prominence.

The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, fondly called Deja, in May 2020.
