Renowned evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Evangelist Dr. Uma Ukpai, has passed on to glory at the age of 80.
According to reports, the revered cleric died in Lagos, marking the end of an era for one of Nigeria’s most respected preachers and spiritual leaders.
Dr. Ukpai was widely regarded as a beacon of light and a source of inspiration to millions across Nigeria and beyond. He was also among the founding fathers of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s Pentecostal movement.
Until his passing, the evangelist was celebrated for his unwavering commitment to evangelism, nation-building, and humanitarian service through the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association.
Tributes have begun pouring in from Christian leaders, congregants, and admirers who described him as “a true general of faith” and “God’s elect who lived a life of purpose and impact.”
