Ondo: PDP exco dissolution story planted by APC to discredit image of party — Peretei

The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said on Thursday that the news making the roundabout the impending dissolution of the State Executive Committee to accommodate the interest of former Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko is false.

The State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kennedy Peretei, said in a statement that the story was planted by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state government to discredit the image of the PDP, whose profile is rising by the day.

The statement partly reads:

“This planted story is part of the retroactive steps of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the government information propaganda machinery to discredit the image of the PDP, whose profile is rising by the day.”

“The APC is afraid of what will befall them because they have nothing to showcase to the electorate but to write falsehood and planted in their friendly media houses.”

“Whereas our party is gaining momentum in terms of new quality members joining the party, APC has to contend with litigations as the aftermath of intractable crises from State Congresses across the country.”

“One is, therefore, not surprised at this sponsored news story by the APC, and the government information machinery to cause disaffection amongst the PDP family.”

“Our party is on course to rescue and rebuild Nigeria from the suffocating decay and mess the APC has brought upon our country”.

“No amount of envy or wicked propaganda can save the APC and its incompetent handlers from total disgrace come 2023.”
