The Ondo State House of Assembly on Friday rejected tenure elongation’s request by governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for all the 18 caretaker committees of the local councils in the state.

The house dissolved all the 18 caretaker chairmen appointed by the governor and also adjourned for a six -week recess.

Facts, however, emerged on Friday evening that the Lawmakers are not too happy with governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over his alleged procrastination in renovating their deplorable chambers which has now gotten worst according to a government source who pleaded anonymity.

The source also hinted that the legislative arm of government in the state has been incapacitated financially by the executive arm of government led by the governor.

According to him, the state Assembly may draw a battle line with the governor, if nothing is done urgently to address the deteriorating condition of the state assembly complex.
