The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps apprehended a total of 73 individuals on Tuesday for various environmental infractions spanning across the state.

Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, shared this information via his official social media handle, accompanied by a video showcasing the individuals who were apprehended.

He wrote, “A total of 73 persons were arrested earlier today by the operatives of @LAGESCOfficial (KAI) for offences ranging from crossing the road without using the pedestrian bridge, and using the pedestrian bridge as accommodation and other illegal activities.”

The commissioner added that those arrested have been taken to court for prosecution.

This is in the state government’s zero tolerance for environmental indiscipline
