5 days after joining APC, Bwacha appointed Chairman, Senate Committee on Procurement

The President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan, has appointed the former Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as Chairman Senate Committee on Procurement.

Bwacha appointment was announced at the Senate plenary on Wednesday, five days after he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Starnews Nigeria can report.

His defection was followed with the appointment of Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau (PDP Taraba North) as the new Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate as recommended by his party, the PDP.

Lawan also announced Lau’s appointment as the Vice Chairman of Senate Committee on works.
