3-years old girl murdered, Vital Organs Removed in Bauchi

Suspected ritualists have reportedly murdered a 3-year-old girl in Ningi Local Government Area of the Bauchi State, removing some of her body parts, including her eyes and vagina.

According to reports, the girl, Asiya Zakari Ya’u, had been declared missing for two days before her mutilated body was found dumped in Ningi township.

Village sources, who confirmed the incident said the girl’s parents, who were residents of Sabuwar Denawa, were informed by some Almajiri boys from a Qur’anic school in the area.

The police in Ningi were said to have gotten wind of the incident through one Malam Saleh, who reported the discovery of the girl’s lifeless body near a graveyard.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Bauchi State Police Command, Ahmed Wakili, disclosed in a phone interview with our reporter on Saturday that a medical doctor at the hospital confirmed the death of the girl, after which the body was released to the parents for burial.

He added that the result of the postmortem is being awaited to determine the exact cause of death.

Wakili Ahmed said further that the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, has directed a thorough investigation into the case, in order to arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
