Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. This was revealed on Sunday through a post shared on his Instagram page.
In the announcement, 2Baba disclosed that he and Annie have been separated for some time and have now initiated divorce proceedings.
He stated that he plans to release a detailed statement to address the situation.
The singer hinted at sharing his perspective, emphasizing that the decision to speak publicly is driven by his love for his fans.
He concluded by thanking his supporters and asking them to stay positive.
He wrote, “Hello my beautiful people of all federation. Well this thing I have to say short but also long… I and Annie Macauley have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce.
“I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I want them to know my innocence or offense. Stay bless my people.”
