Lagos police arrest four as motorcyclists kill sound engineer over N100

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested four suspects over the killing of a young man by commercial motorcyclists in the Lekki area of Lagos State. Nigeria’s oil production falls over poor maintenance, says World Bank

The World Bank has said that Nigeria’s oil production declined in 2021 due to a lack of maintenance and the loss of infrastructure efficiency. Why political parties’ audited accounts haven’t been published since 2016 –INEC

Indications have emerged that the refusal of political parties to submit to the Independent National Electoral Commission their annual financial statement as required by the constitution and the Electoral Act has prevented the commission from monitoring their finances and publishing the same as mandated by the constitution. SERAP sues Buhari over N1.48tn spent for refineries’ maintenance

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project has filed a lawsuit against the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), “over his failure to probe allegations that over N1.48 trillion reportedly spent on maintaining the country’s four refineries between 2015 and 2020 may have been stolen, mismanaged or diverted into private pockets.” According to SERAP, the government reportedly spent N10.23 billion in June 2020 on three refineries that processed zero crude.
