Ekiti 2022: Oni’s ambition suffers setback as Fayose, Olujimi settle rift

  The governorship ambition of former governor of Ekiti State, Engr Segun Oni, may have suffered setback as the two contending groups in the People’s Democractic Party (PDP), the Osoko Political Assembly led by former Governor Ayo Fayose and another (Repositioning Group) led by the Senator representing Ekiti South, Biodun Olujimi have resolved not to support his ambition. PDP accuses Akeredolu of spending N500m on in-law’s concert

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has accused Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of spending N500 million for a musical concert anchored by the governor’s son in-law, Michael Olatunde. $300m transferred to poor Nigerians in four years, says FG

The Federal Government has disbursed about $300m to the poor and vulnerable in its National Social Register through N5,000 cash transfers in four years. This was disclosed by the National Coordinator, National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office, Mr Apera Iorwa, in an exclusive interview with Sunday Punch. Policewoman allegedly forces 10-year-old girl to soak hands in hot water for ‘stealing Christmas meat’

A policewoman identified simply as Ruth has been arrested for allegedly inflicting injuries on her 10-year-old niece, identified only as Miracle. Ruth, who resided at the Dutse Alhaji area of the Federal Capital Territory, was said to have caught Miracle stealing a piece of meat from her pot of soup on the Christmas Eve.
