2022 African Cycling Ch/ship: Nigeria Has The Best Cyclists In Africa – Minister of Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has motivated the Nigerian cyclists who will be participating in the 2nd edition of the African Cycling Championship to maintain their best performance in Africa when the event commences in Abuja.

 

Dare commended the efforts of the CFN President, Massari saying that the most populous African country has the best cyclists in Africa. He also encouraged them to continue to dominate the continent particularly as Nigeria hosts other 14 countries.

 

“Yes, I want Nigeria to win and I know that we have the best cyclists in Africa.”

 

“I commend the efforts of the President of Cyclist Federation of Nigeria, Giandomenico Massari, Mohammed Woguih Azza, the President of African Cycling Federation as well as other international cycling bigwigs who were present at the event.

 

“It is a great thing for Nigeria to host this competition. For us as a country, this shows that Nigerians is cycling country. We Want to thank the African Cycling Federation for the supports and to help our cyclers to become World beaters. We hope that Nigeria athletes continue to enjoy such support. We promise to invite you back again hosting another competition and before then, We would have upgraded the facilities.” Dare concluded.

 

Nigeria won the Second edition of the championship hosted in Abuja in 2019 are also been motivated to win the 2022 edition which is the fourth Championship. Fifteen countries will participate in the tournament which commences on Thursday.
