15-year-old boy allegedly beaten to death by mother over N200 theft

A 15-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by his mother in Delta State for stealing N200.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday at Obire Street, off Cemetery Road, Warri.

According to findings by DAILY POST, some residents of the street, who spoke on condition of anonymity, narrated that the hands and legs of the boy were tied by his brother while his body was pieced with hot knife.

”When she realized that her son was dying, she ran out and cried for assistance.

“Unfortunately, before they arrived at the hospital, her son died,” a source added.

The source also disclosed that the woman has previously evicted from a nearby compound where she lived due to her hostile relationship with neighbours.

The source further disclosed that her late son before his death hawked smoke fish for the mother after which he will go for apprenticeship on repair of handsets.

Delta Command Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Bright Edafe when contacted, stated that no such incident has been reported to the police.
