Man jailed 38 years for robbing motorist of N50,000, other items

    An Ikeja High Court, on Monday, sentenced a man, Adam Francis, to 38 years imprisonment for robbing a motorist of her necklace, wristwatch, United Bank of Africa (UBA) cards and the sum of N50,000.   Justice Oyindamola Ogala, in her judgement, held that the prosecution had successfully proved the three-count charge of armed robbery, conspiracy and assault against Mr Francis.   Ms Ogala said the standard of proof was beyond every reasonable doubt and that the prosecution had been able to discharge the burden of proof placed on it.   She affirmed that the offensive weapons were used

7 suspected thugs arrested at Owo Army check point arraigned

Woman Slumps, Dies While Singing on Church Altar

    By Yetunde Ogunmola A woman identified as Imade, reportedly slumped and died while singing on the altar at Living Messiah Church in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The incident happened on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
