Residents of Ekiti State on Wednesday took over Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital to protest against the kidnapping of 4 persons including a pregnant woman by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Starnews Nigeria reports that no fewer than 4 persons were kidnapped at Ajebamidele community on Tuesday around 6:30 PM according to an eyewitness account who said the kidnappers stormed their community and took the four persons away.

The residents who blocked the Ado-Ekiti/Ikere highway expressed their displeasures to the Ekiti State Government with placards of several inscriptions over the persistent rate of kidnapping in the state while demanding the intervention of the government for the release of the 4 persons that were kidnapped yesterday.
