A 30-year-old woman, Temitope Adedeji, was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly whipping her landlord and his wife. Adedeji, whose residential address was not provided is charged with assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace. The Prosecution Counsel, Mr Phillip Amusan, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on Tuesday at about 6. 40 p.m, at Ajinde Area Ire-Akari, Ibadan. Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped an Anglican priest, Rev Agbadamashi Emmanuel, his wife and children. The incident occurred along the East-West road by Evwreni junction on Friday, October 6. It was gathered that the cleric and his family were travelling from Ughelli to Uwheru community, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, when they were abducted. A state Senator from North Dakota, his wife and their two young children died when the small plane they were traveling in crashed soon after a refueling stop in Utah, a Senate leader said Monday. Senator Doug Larsen’s death was confirmed Monday in an email that Republican Senate Majority Leader David Hogue sent to his fellow senators and was obtained by The Associated Press. The Ondo State Police Command on Saturday said it began an investigation into the cause of death of a woman and her baby in Owo community, the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of the state. Justice Gideon Kurada of the Kaduna State High Court has acquitted and discharged the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibraheem El- Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat Ibrahim who have been standing trial in the court for the past four years. In a judgement delivered on Wednesday, Justice Kurada said the case was not shown nor proven by the prosecutor.
