Former Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Peter Abel Diah who resigned on Sunday night, has revealed he took the decision in the interest of the state. He spoke in a statement, in which he congratulated his successor, Joseph Albasu Alkinjoh and all the newly elected principal officers of the Assembly. Taraba Killing: Police Re-Arrest Suspected Kidnapper, Wadume

The Police have arrested suspected kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Wadume who was named in the clash between the police and soldiers two weeks ago in Taraba State. Mr Wadume was arrested in the Hotoro area of Kano State by Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team. He is presently being held at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

Herdsmen Occupy 17 Villages In Taraba Community- Monarch Alleges

The traditional ruler of Kona people, Augustine Njanmeng, has decried the alleged occupation of 17 villages belonging to his community by suspected herdsmen in Jalingo Local Government Area of Taraba State. Njanmeng told newsmen in his palace in Jalingo on Wednesday that the herdsmen were grazing on the farms of displaced people. Don’t just suspend Ruga, Cancel it – Darius Ishaku

Darius Ishaku, governor of Taraba state, Tuesday asked the federal government to abolish the Ruga initiative ealier proposed by Buhari led administration, noting that the cancellation of the initiative was not enough. Reps Adopt Bill Banning Use Of Plastic Bags
