Breaking: Supreme Court Upholds Fayemi’s election

The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Kolapo Olusola-Eleka challenging the election of Governor Kayode Fayemi. Affirming Fayemi’s election, the five-man panel of the Supreme Court led by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad unanimously held that the appeal challenging the outcome of the poll lacked merit. Olusola-Eleka vs Fayemi: Supreme Court Delivers Judgement May 24

The Supreme Court on Thursday heard and fixed May 24 for judgment on the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Kolapo Olusola-Eleka challenging the election of Governor Kayode Fayemi. A five-man panel of the apex court which heard the appeal was led the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad.
