A statement signed by Mr. Richard Olatunde, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, announcing the appointment, says the new VC has five years, and that it starts on Wednesday, 7th July 2021. Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has approved the appointment of Professor Ige E. Olugbenga as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko. The appointment takes effect from Wednesday, 7th July, 2021 for a one-term of five years. The Governor’s approval is in line with the exercise of his power under Paragraph 3 (8) of Schedule 1 of Adekunle Ajasin University
