Ondo Senator-Elect Visits Omotosho Power Station, Raises Questions Over Blackout In Host Community

Otunba Nicholas Tofowomo, Ondo South Senator-elect, on Thursday, visited Omotosho Power Station on a courtesy visit where he sought to know from the management of the company reasons his senatorial district is not benefiting from the power generation company despite being the host community.  During an interactive discussion with the management of the company, the senator-elect  demanded to know the contributions of the power station and its corporate social responsibilities to the host communities since the day of commencement of operation in the senatorial district.  He sought explanation why immediate host Communities of the power station are in total darkness

Omotosho Power Station, 7 Others Shut Down

The General Manager, Public Affairs of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, has stated that 8 thermal power generating stations are currently unable to generate electricity and have therefore been shut down as a result of gas pipeline rupture on the 15th of June, 2018, as well as technical issues at the Shell gas wells on the 16th of June this year.
