Vice President Kashim Shettima and northern governors said that corrupt governance has a direct bearing to the insecurity bedeviling the North and Nigeria as a whole. The leaders disclosed this while making presentations at the 10th Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation lecture and award hosted by Borno State governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum in Maiduguri Saturday. Northern Govs, monarchs in emergency meeting to decide on VAT, open grazing ban
Governors of the 19 Northern States and traditional rulers from the region have converged in Kaduna for an emergency meeting. The meeting, which has gone into closed-door door session, is expected to discuss and take position on the Value Added Tax (VAT) controversy, ban on Open Grazing by Southern Governors and the security challenges bedeviling the region.
